Whelping Service

Basic Info

We provide a whelping service offering help to those who don't have the skills or time necessary for whelping puppies.

Whelping means "to give birth to", typically referring to canine births. Breeding and whelping puppies is a lot of work and requires care 24 hours a day/7 days a week during the first few weeks of life. Constant attention to the puppies and the mother is needed during this time which may be difficult if the owner of the mother has to work.

This service is provided based on our availability and comfort level

$700 Basic Whelping*
Prices are for the delivery of litters under six puppies. Includes one-day boarding of the mother and care for the mother and pups for 24 hours post-delivery.
*For every puppy over 5 add $100 to the total whelping prices

$950 Whelping Plus*
Suppose any complications arise during or after the delivery such as stalled labor or a puppy that needs to be tube fed or bottle fed colostrum or formula, extensive resuscitation, use of inbator, and oxygen.
*For every puppy over 6 add $100 to the total whelping prices

$800 Post Delivery Care
This additional charge to the whelping service depends on circumstances and individual dogs. The weakest and neediest puppies will set the rate for all puppies. These prices are for the first eight weeks of care after birth. The caring for the litter per week for no complications for a litter of puppies up to 10 puppies.

$500/Week Primary Care (1-4 Puppies)*
*Each additional puppy is an added $50/week
We do not charge for boarding the mother when the litter arrives. This fee includes primary care of the mother and puppies. For every puppy over 10 add $50 to the total for weekly prices.
